New Patterns

I belong to Club BMV, and took advantage of a recent sale to add a few patterns I have had my eye on.

Vogue 8767  I LOVE the Vintage Vogue line and own several of these patterns.  The jacket is so lovely.  I am partial to the lightly flared peplum, and one could use a beautiful frog closure, or a small interlocking rhinestone buckle, or even two beautiful buttons with a loop closure.  I also think the dress with jabot is fetching.  I would love to do a double jabot, with one layer possibly being lace.  So many possibilities here!

McCall's 6122  This is a lovely blouse pattern, and I have some stunning eyelet lace that would be lovely for this pattern.  I really appreciate the helpful tips Nancy Zieman includes in her pattern instructions.  I always come away with several useful pieces of information I can incorporate into my sewing projects.

McCall's 6076  I bought a couple of Palmer/Pletsch patterns this time.  The first pattern is classic blouse that can be used for so many things:

McCall's 6441  The second Palmer/Pletsch pattern I bought is this zippered jacket with four sleeve variations.  As soon as I saw this pattern I immediately envisioned it made in black material with a beautiful rhinestone zipper.  I've wanted to do something with a rhinestone zipper for a while, and this pattern would be ideal.

Vogue 1127  This is an older Vogue pattern by Badgley Mischka.  I like the jacket and love the blouse.

Vogue 1279  And last but not least, a Vogue pattern by Pamella Roland.  This has a lot of interesting design possibilities.

Purchasing new patterns always inspires me!  I'm looking forward to working with these patterns in the next few months.
